Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILENT TRIGGER (C Habib) was nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h25) b) MIDWICKET (M Yeni) failed to parade and proceeded directly to the start. This filly is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4 until such time as she proves tractable to parade and proceed to the start on a race day. c) SILENT TRIGGER (C Habib) was bumped inwards by POTENT CAPTAIN (*G Dookhit), which jumped awkwardly inwards. Thereafter, SILENT TRIGGER (C Habib) commenced to over race in the middle stages. d) PRINCE ANTONIO (R Fourie) and SILENT TRIGGER (C Habib) over raced in the early and middle stages. e) In view of the performance of MIDWICKET (M Yeni), which over raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter tired quickly from the 250m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) Apprentice N Nastili reported that he felt something amiss with KING RAHUL. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. g) GLOBETONIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised.
