THE STARTER REPORTED: a) YARRAMAN (W Shumba) broke through the starting stalls on two occasions, thereafter refused to load, and was subsequently scratched for being intractable. This gelding's Starting Stalls Certificate has been withdrawn. b) LILY BLUE (J Penny) was slow away losing two and a half lengths. c) CAPTAIN OF TORTUGA (T Gould) was slow away losing many lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN OF TORUGA (T Gould) was slow away losing many lengths at the start and raced detached from the rest of the field. b) In view of the Starters report with regards to YARRAMAN (W Shumba), this gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and is to be re-certified tractable on a race day. Trainer V Birketoft advised. c) WHAT A DANDY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Swanson advised (AJ) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) HOLY LAND (K Matsunyane) raced with steel shoes on. b) WHAT A DANDY (R Satombo) raced with blinkers off.
