THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start TERMINAL VELOCITY (S Khumalo) which was slow into stride, was squeezed out. b) COOL WIND (*D Pillay) over-raced in the early stages. c) BALTIC ASSAYER (D Daniels) hung out from the 300m. d) Jockey C Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 in that as the rider of CURIOUS GIRL he misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey C Zackey signed an admission of guilt and was fined R2000. e) CURIOUS GIRL (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M De Kock was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) BALTIC ASSAYER raced equipped with cheek pieces and without blinkers (advised 04.09.2025/08h37). b) TERMINAL VELOCITY raced equipped with blinkers (advised 03.09.2025/19h29).
