Stipes Report
WARRIOR ROYALE (T Godden) proved stubborn to load and was subsequently withdrawn. This caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WARRIOR ROYALE (T Godden) refused to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MAGICAL VIEW (*J Botes) commenced to over-race at the 800m. b) Leaving the 600m SCHOOL POLICY (S Moodley) was brushed out by MRSGLITTERSPARKLES (R A Venniker) which rolled out marginally and was corrected. c) SOVEREIGN GRANT (J Jacobs) which showed a tendency to hang out, shifted out away from the crop from the 100m. Jockey J Jacobs appeared before the Board and was instructed to take the necessary measures to keep his mounts straight in races. d) Approaching the 100m SCHOOL POLICY (S Moodley) and SHE'S A MACHINE (C Zackey) came together and brushed. e) Shortly before the finish INFINITY EDGE (M Thackeray) and MAGICAL VIEW (*J Botes) were steadied and carried out when awkwardly placed on the outside of FORWARD MOTION (*D Pillay) which shifted out away from the crop. f) Apprentice D Pillay (FORWARD MOTION) was charged with a contravention of Rule contravened Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of FORWAD MOTION, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses INFINITY EDGE (M Thackeray) and MAGICAL VIEW (*J Botes) in the concluding stages. Apprentice Pillay signed an admission of guilt and was given a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven days (Dates to be advised). g) Jockey M Thackeray's (INFINITY EDGE) crop was accidentally struck from his grasp by Apprentice J Botes (MAGICAL VIEW) shortly before the finish. h) In view of the Starter's report with regard to WARRIOR ROYALE (T Godden), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 06.09.2025 to the 12.09.2025). WARRIOR ROYALE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer C Eudey was advised. i) FORWARD MOTION (*D Pillay), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.Assistant Trainer V Ndlovu acting on behalf of Trainer P V Lafferty was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report. SCRATCHINGS : a) WARRIOR ROYALE : Refused to load. (Withdrawn by the Starter at 18h43, 9/2 in the betting). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
