THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAIL TO THE MOON (T Godden) and SLYTHERIN (S Hlengwa) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SLYTHERIN (S Hlengwa) proved difficult to settle in the early stages. b) Jockey A Mgudlwa (GORGEOUS DUDE) accidentally dropped his crop at the 250m. c) Approaching the 100m FIRELIGHTER (N Patel) was brushed in by BEACH PALACE (*D Pillay) which hung in from the 300m. d) In the concluding stages SAIL TO THE MOON (T Godden) was carried in marginally by THE MASK (S Moodley) which rolled in. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that KAAPSE KLOPSE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Jockey M V' Rensburg reported that THE GOLDEN GOAL did not stride out freely in the running.
