THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LOU LOU THE LEGEND (M V'Rensburg) was slow into stride. b) ATTABOY (*J Botes) lost 3 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) LAKE COMO (R A Venniker) hung out from the 300m. b) Leaving the 200m ATTABOY (*J Botes) was switched to the inside of IN THE BAG (T Godden) to continue its run. c) In view of the performances of MAMAS BABY (S Khumalo) (5.40 lengths, 33/1 in the betting) and PROFESSOR LUPIN (S Moodley) (12.40 lengths, 33/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss in the running with IN THE BAG. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning IN THE BAG, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspension dates 06.09.2025 - 04.11.2025). Trainer M D Miller will be advised. f) LIONS EYE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
