THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAN OF CONSEQUENCE (R Fourie) jumped outwards. b) PRINCE OF EGYPT (JP van der Merwe) and FUTURE GOLD (G Behr) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter were slow into stride. c) WATERFRONT (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. d) ETERNAL DIAMOND (S Veale) and DAY IN DAY OUT (L Mxothwa) made contact leaving the stalls. e) GALE WARNING (C Little) took an awkward stride leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After being slow to begin, PEACE ON YOU (G van Niekerk) over raced in the early stages. b) At the 800m GALE WARNING (C Little) raced onto the heels of TYPICALLY FRENCH (*V Jodhee) and was steadied briefly. c) GALE WARNING (C Little) was hanging in in the latter stages. d) In view of the performance of ETERNAL DIAMOND (S Veale), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) TYPICALLY FRENCH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
