Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GALLIC FORGE (L Mxothwa) was restless in the stalls.
b)	DANIEL (M Yeni) and BACKINTHEFASTLANE (*B Plaatjies) were slow into stride.
c)	SUNSHINE SUPERMAN (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing one length.	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 450m KLEIN KAROO (G Wright), which was hanging in, was brushed outwards by ROCKANROLLIN (AUS) (C Orffer), which was directed outwards when attempting to secure clear running and close to the heels of JOUEUR DE FLUTE (C Zackey).
	After interviewing Jockeys G Wright and C Orffer with regard to this incident, the Stewards were satisfied that this was a racing incident and will proceed no further with this line of query.
b)	KLEIN KAROO (G Wright) and SMARTEN UP (S Veale) were hanging in in the straight.
c)	Jockey M Yeni reported that DANIEL made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that SUNSHINE SUPERMAN felt uncomfortable in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
e)	GALLIC FORGE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J CRAWFORD was advised. (ZM)
