Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	GO DANCING (*N Nastili) jumped awkwardly inwards, made contact with the right-side gate of the starting stalls and lost one length.
b)	FREE TO RUN (MK Katjedi) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with the left side gate of the starting stalls. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h06)
b)	Permission was granted for BLIND FAITH (C Habib) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
c)	LANA VIEW (M Yeni) over raced with an awkward head carriage in the early and middle stages, proved difficult to settle and took a number of awkward strides at approximately the 1800m.
d)	POISE PANACHE (C Maujean) over raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter, commenced to hang out from the 350m. 
e)	GO DANCING (*N Nastili) commenced to lose ground from the 1400m, failed to respond to his Rider's urgings, raced detached from the field and thereafter Apprentice N Nastili did not persevere with his riding from the 1000m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	LANA VIEW (M Yeni), POISE PANACHE (C Maujean) and BLIND FAITH (C Habib) had to be steadied momentarily when Apprentice G Dookhit) eased CEDARPEAK at the 1400m, while racing at the front of the field. 
	Apprentice G Dookhit (CEDARPEAK) appeared before the Board and was advised against the practice of easing up the pace when he is racing at the front of the field. Apprentice G Dookhit was warned that if he continued with this practice, disciplinary measures will be taken.
g)	At approximately the 1000m, Apprentice G Dookhit allowed CEDARPEAK to shift outward. As a consequence, LANA VIEW (M Yeni), which was following, clipped the heels and stumbled when awkwardly placed on the heels of CEDARPEAK (*G Dookhit).
	An admission of Guilt of a suspension of 7 days has been issued to Apprentice G Dookhit; the Board is awaiting the input of the National Academy Master.
h)	BLIND FAITH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised. (LM)
