Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	WINTER WARFARE (M Yeni) was restless in the stalls, taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay.
b)	WINTER WARFARE (M Yeni) reared as the start was effected.
c)	MISTER WHISTLE (C Maujean) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	HAIR TRIGGER (K Minnie) recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L.  Trainer AC Greeff was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. (14h52) This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to WINTER WARFARE (M Yeni) in stall gate 4 and established that this gelding had reared as the start was effected, had not been impeded in any way, any loss of ground was as a result of its own behaviour and therefore took no further action. 
In view of the report from the Starter regarding WINTER WARFARE (M Yeni), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 11/09/2025 to 17/09/2025 inclusive) WINTER WARFARE may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
c)	Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with ROYAL KINGDOM. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
d) 	Jockey C Maujean reported that MISTER WHISTLE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer E Kaknis was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. 
e)	INSTAWORTHY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
