Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	After all the horses were loaded, stall gates 4 and 5 opened early when RAVILIOUS (C Maujean) rushed the front gates, which resulted in the Starter calling a false start. All runners, with the exception of THUNDER MASTER (*N Nastili) and MISS SHAIVI (Y Ramzan), which bolted the course and were withdrawn by the Veterinary Surgeon, cantered a short distance before being returned behind the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay.
b)	During the second loading process, SHAMPIMPI (R Fourie) rushed the front gates and was taken out. SHAMPIMPI was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. Jockey R Fourie was examined by the paramedics and passed fit to continue riding.
c)	KING'S SAILOR (M Yeni) was restless in the stalls and rushed the front gates, taken out, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded.
d)	KING'S SAILOR (M Yeni) jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with CHARLIE MALONE (C Zackey) leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	GUARDING THE WALL (C Little) recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. (15h21) This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	Permission was granted for HER ROYALTY (C Habib) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
c)	SHAMPIMPI (R Fourie) over raced in the early and middle stages.
d)	KING'S SAILOR (M Yeni) was carried out by CHARLIE MALONE (C Zackey), which shifted outwards from the 350m to obtain clear running. Thereafter, CHARLIE MALONE (C Zackey) commenced to hang inwards.
e) In view of the performance of SHAMPIMPI (R Fourie), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
f)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding SHAMPIMPI (R Fourie), KING'S SAILOR (M Yeni) and RAVILIOUS (C Maujean), Trainers AC Greeff, JP Nel and JVA Strydom respectively will be advised to have these horses re-schooled prior to their next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
