THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In attempting to change his crop hand, Jockey S Hlengwa (KUMEMORI) accidentally dropped his crop at the 200m. b) In view of the performance of NOTABLE (C Murray) (25.80 lengths, 125/1 in the betting) which was not persevered with from the 200m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this gelding is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. Furthermore, this gelding will be required to perform an 800m gallop on a race day to be assessed by an NHRA Veterinary Surgeon. Trainer M Dixon will be advised. c) ISIKWISHIKWISHI (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
