THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LITTLEMISSSPLENDID (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) SHEETS AND GOGGLES (M van Rensburg) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, BOLD ACTION (C Murray) was bumped in by LITTLEMISSSPLENDID (G Lerena), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) In the concluding stages, LITTLEMISSSPLENDID (G Lerena) was steadied when awkwardly placed between CHANTILLY DREAM (C Zackey), which shifted out away from the crop, and SHEETS AND GOGGLES (M van Rensburg), which rolled in. c) Jockey C Murray reported that BOLD ACTION tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer F Bronkhorst was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of BOLD ACTION on return to stables. d) SHEETS AND GOGGLES (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
