THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	TRILLION DREAMS (J Gates) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	BIRD ON A WING (C Habib) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. 
c)	SALAGADOOLA (*N Nastili) jumped outwards.
d)	AMANATTO (R Fourie), IVY (*G Dookhit) and CALL ME CLARION (X Ndlovu) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Permission was granted for BIRD ON A WING (C Habib) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
b)	Shortly after the start, PRICELESS TREASURE (S Naidoo) was buffeted between LADY BOMBER (C Maujean) and SALAGADOOLA (*N Nastili), which jumped outwards.
c)	AMANATTO (R Fourie) and IVY (*G Dookhit) over raced in the early and middle stages.
d)	SALAGADOOLA (*N Nastili) was hanging out on the bend.
e)	CALL ME CLARION (X Ndlovu) hit the inside running rail at approximately the 450m, became unbalanced and lost momentum. 
	When questioned, Jockey X Ndlovu (CALL ME CLARION) stated that TRILLION DREAMS (J Gates) had shifted inwards for no apparent reason at approximately the 450m and his mount had shied away from TRILLION DREAMS (J Gates).
When questioned, Jockey J Gates (TRILLION DREAMS) stated that his mount had raced green and had shifted inwards despite his efforts to direct his horse outwards and away from the inside running rail.
	The Board has adjourned to review this matter. 
f)	LADY BOMBER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer TJ Laing was advised. (LM)
g)	PRICELESS TREASURE, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer FJ Jacobs, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
