Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	OLIVER (C Zackey) and THREE TIGERS (*B Plaatjies) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	DREAMWORLD (S Veale) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	In a slow-run race, SILVER CROWN (R Fourie), OLIVER (C Zackey) and THREE TIGERS (*B Plaatjies) proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
b)	THREE TIGERS (*B Plaatjies) raced wide on the turn and into the straight.
c)	At the 300m Jockey R Fourie felt something amiss with SILVER CROWN, immediately eased this gelding out of the race and dismounted at the 150m. SILVER CROWN was attended to on course by the Veterinary Surgeon. This precluded Jockey R Fourie from being able to weigh in. In terms of Rule 66.2 the Stewards were satisfied that SILVER CROWN had carried the correct weight.
SILVER CROWN (R Fourie) returned with a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended for a period of 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J de Villiers)
d)	At the 200m MISS WORLD (M Yeni) had to be steadied briefly when awkwardly placed on the outside of DREAMWORLD (S Veale), which was hanging out in the straight and shifted out.
e)	The saddle on MISS WORLD slipped back in running, placing Jockey M Yeni at a disadvantage. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon.
f)	SCOTTISH KISS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (TJ)
