Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BOMBER BAY (C Zackey) stood awkwardly in the stalls.
b)	GO DANCING (*N Nastili) jumped slow, losing two lengths.	 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h44)
b)	Permission was granted for LORD QUINN (W Agrella) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
c)	GO DANCING (*N Nastili), which jumped slow, failed to respond to Apprentice N Nastili's urgings and raced detached from the field throughout. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	JANNEMAN WAT KAN (S Khumalo) over raced in the early and middle stages and proved difficult to settle.
e)	GLOBAL SPEAK (C Little) over raced in the early and middle stages and was hanging in in the straight.
f)	At approximately the 450m INCENDIARY (L Mxothwa), which shifted inwards sharply, was immediately and severely corrected by its Rider.
	Jockey L Mxothwa was questioned with regard to the abrupt manner in which he corrected his mount. He explained to the Board that in an attempt to avoid running onto the heels of the horses in front of him, he had reacted quickly in an attempt to correct the inward movement and his mount had reacted sharply. His explanation was noted. 
g)	GLOBAL SPEAK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JP Nel was advised. (LM)
