THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FIRE 'N FLAMES (C Murray) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) At approximately the 1600m, DIWALI ROCKET (S Moodley) was brushed in by INFINITE WONDER (P Mxoli), which was carried in by KING'S EXPRESS (*G Samo-Burthia), which shifted in. Apprentice G Samo-Burthia appeared before the Board and was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in races. c) KING'S EXPRESS (*G Samo-Burthia) shifted out away from the crop from the 200m. d) DIWALI ROCKET (S Moodley) tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) KING'S EXPRESS (*G Samo-Burthia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
