THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SWORD SPEED (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load. b) SWORD SPEED (A Mgudlwa), PIED PIPER (S Veale) and VENCEDOR (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. c) DOIN' TIME (D Daniels) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) JET BLACKFIRE (S Khumalo) hung out on the bend. b) PIED PIPER (S Veale) hung out from the 400m. c) SWORD SPEED (A Mgudlwa) raced green and shifted out in the concluding stages. d) In view of the performance of COWBOY CARTEL (T Godden) which commenced to give ground to the field and was not persevered with from the 250m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning COWBOY CARTEL, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. (Suspension dates : 22.09.2025 - 20.11.2025). Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of Trainer M D Miller was advised. f) MASTER SILVANO (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
