THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PROFESSOR LUPIN (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) NAVAJO DANCER (*D Ramkhalawon) stumbled shortly after the start. b) WHEREVERILAYMYHAT (*D Pillay), which hung out throughout, took an awkward stride at the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Apprentice D Ramkhalawon (NAVAJO DANCER) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was charged with a contravention of Rule 38.3., in that he failed to ensure that the passport for NAVAJO DANCER was made available for inspection 60 minutes prior to this race. Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) signed an admission of guilt and was fined R500. e) Trainer G van Zyl (Jnr) was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1., in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse NAVAJO DANCER.
