THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AM STILL WINNING (R Fourie) was nervous and reared in the stalls. b) BANDMASTER (C Little) was nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice B Soodoo (LADY PENNY) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. b) Leaving the 300m AM STILL WINNING (R Fourie) was directed outwards for clear running. c) BANDMASTER (C Little) was hanging in from the 250m. d) NUCLEUR POWER (*N Nastili) was hanging in from the 200m. e) At the 150m CLIFFIE CLAVIN (C Maujean) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of SALAGADOOLA (X Ndlovu), which shifted in slightly and was corrected. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding AM STILL WINNING (R Fourie), Trainer JVA Strydom will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) Apprentice N Nastili was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline B on the use of the crop) in that he struck NUCLEUR POWER with his crop arm above shoulder height. Apprentice N Nastili signed an admission of guilt and was given a warning. h) Trainer Z Oosthuizen was charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that he failed to notify the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within two (2) business days that NUCLEUR POWER had been gelded. Trainer Z Oosthuizen signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250,00. i) BANDMASTER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis was advised.
