THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AUGUSTA ROSSO (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h06) b) BRETTY (MK Katjedi) over raced in the early stages. c) KAMAKAZI (*N Nastili) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) Shortly before the finish FIRE ALARM (C Zackey) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of KAMAKAZI (*N Nastili), which commenced to hang in from the 100m. Apprentice N Nastili appeared before the Board and was advised to take corrective measures when his mount is shifting ground in future engagements. e) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that ALEX MILLER did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) AUGUSTA ROSSO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
