THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 400m ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (*B Marx-Jacobson) took an awkward stride. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) RUGGER LOVER (S Veale) hung in from the 350m. c) GRAND OCCASION hung out from the 200m. d) In the concluding stages, PRINCESS PALACE (K Matsunyane) was brushed on two occasions by ACACIA'S BLOSSOM (*B Marx-Jacobson) which shifted out away from the crop. Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson appeared before the Board with Riding Master R Agrella and was advised to take corrective measures sooner when shifting ground in races in future. e) GRAND OCCASION (N Patel), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
