Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	WHATWILLBEWILLBE (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly inwards, losing one length.
b)	LARKING ABOUT (*B Plaatjies) jumped outwards and made contact with CELESTIAL ROCKET (C Orffer).
c)	GREENLIGHT JET (J Solomons) and PRIMAL INSTINCT (JP van der Merwe) made contact leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	After being slow to begin WHATWILLBEWILLBE (R Fourie), despite being ridden along, raced detached from the field in the early stages.
b)	At the 400m OCEAN SKY (C Murray) had to be steadied and directed outwards when unable to secure clear running between CELESTIAL ROCKET (C Orffer) and THAT'LL B THE DAY (C Little).
c)	At the 350m GREEK HEIRESS (C Zackey) had to be checked away from the heels of LARKING ABOUT (*B Plaatjies), which was switched out to make its run on the outside of BLAME IT ON ME (*S Bungane), which rolled out slightly.
Apprentice B Plaatjies was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of LARKING ABOUT, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GREEK HEIRESS at the 350m. Apprentice B Plaatjies signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 10 days. (Dates: 28/09/2025 to 07/10/2025, both dates inclusive)
d)	Jockey C Orffer reported that CELESTIAL ROCKET, which was hanging in in the straight, did not stride out freely in the latter stages and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e)	PRIMAL INSTINCT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
