a) WINGS OF KILDRA (*T Mayhew) stumbled leaving the stalls.
b) FIRE WITHIN (*S Valjalo), MASTER'S ROSE (C Habib) and UNITED OFFER (C Murray) were slow losing one length.
c) HATHIGHWAYTOTHESKY (L Nhlapo) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In view of the performance of FIRE WITHIN (*S Valjalo), (distance 24,65 lengths, betting 100/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
b) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with EXPLOSIVE POWER in running.

c) Jockey M K Katjedi reported that MANURIKI did not stride out freely in running.
