THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE TONGUE TIE ON WINDS OF GRACE (*G SAMO-BURTHIA) HAVING TO BE REFITTED AT THE START. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ERIK'S GIRL (M Yeni) was restless in the stalls. b) FESTIVAL OF LIGHT (C Murray) was slow losing two lengths. c) HAZY DAZY (*T Mayhew) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FESTIVAL OF LIGHT (C Murray), after being slow away on debut, trailed the field throughout. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) HAZY DAZY (*T Mayhew) shifted in away from the crop from the 400m, and thereafter, leaving the 200m, ducked out sharply for no apparent reason. c) In view of the performance of ERIK'S GIRL (M Yeni), (distance 11,20 lengths, betting 40/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of RED SECRET (C Zackey), (distance 11,90 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) HAZY DAZY (*T Mayhew), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
