THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ALL SYSTEMS GO (C Zackey) and LACRYMA CHRISTI (*B Soodoo) were stubborn loading. b) DINERO (X Ndlovu) was stubborn loading and slow into stride. c) JANNEMAN WAT KAN (C Habib) jumped outwards and was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (11h52) b) Apprentice B Soodoo (LACRYMA CHRISTI) rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. c) JANNEMAN WAT KAN (C Habib), which jumped outwards, made contact with PICK A POMODORO (L Mxothwa) shortly after the start. d) JANNEMAN WAT KAN (C Habib) over raced in the early and middle stages. e) LACRYMA CHRISTI (*B Soodoo) was hanging in from the 400m and proved difficult to assist. f) In view of the performances of STALAGMITE (K Minnie) and JANNEMAN WAT KAN (C Habib), which were not persevered with from the 50m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. Jockeys K Minnie and C Habib appeared before the Board and were advised to ride their mounts to the finish with sufficient vigour so as to leave no room for query from the Stewards. Trainers AC Greeff and L Gila were advised to report back should they find anything amiss with these gelding on their return to the stables. g) ALL SYSTEMS GO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
