THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THOONSIL (P Mxoli) was restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m, MY LUCKY CHARM (C Murray) was carried in marginally by OLYMPIAN GOLD (R Fourie), which hung in from the 300m. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, MY LUCKY CHARM (C Murray), which shifted out away from the crop, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of OLYMPIAN GOLD (R Fourie). b) NO HESITATION (L Nhlapo) commenced to give ground to the field in the concluding stages. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) OLYMPIAN GOLD (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
