Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	SOUTHAMPTON (C Bantam) was stubborn loading, causing a delay. 
b)	LADY VERITAS (*S Bungane), LILTING SONG (C Little) and ROSE WOOTT (AUS) (C Orffer) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	NICCI'S LAW (G Samo-Burthia) was slow into stride. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	The time of this race was provided as hand-timed by Race Coast as the electronic equipment that provides this information from when the start is effected to the finish was not operational.
b)	Shortly after the start, NICCI'S LAW (G Samo-Burthia) was carried inwards and then had to be checked away from the heels of POMEROL (G Wright), which shifted in sharply without correction.
	Jockey G Wright was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of POMEROL, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to NICCI'S LAW shortly after the start. Jockey G Wright signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of 7 days. (Dates: 16/10/2025 to 22/10/2025, both dates inclusive)
c)	At the 500m ELISA MBALI (JP van der Merwe) shifted out and had to be corrected.
d) 	At the 300m LILTING SONG (C Little) was directed inwards and into clear running. 
e)	In view of the performances of LARK'S SONG (C Murray), POMEROL (G Wright) and NICCI'S LAW (G Samo-Burthia), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies.
f)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding SOUTHAMPTON (C Bantam), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 06/10/2025 to 12/10/2025 inclusive) SOUTHAMPTON may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g)	RED BERYL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J Crawford was advised. (SC)
