THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WORLD CHORUS (J Jacobs) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockey N Patel reported that the saddle on TERMINAL VELOCITY slipped backwards in the running. This was confirmed by the patrol film. b) In view of the performance of WORLD CHORUS (J Jacobs) which was not persevered with in the concluding stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performance of MISS DANON (R A Venniker) which tired rapidly from the 200m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this filly is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. d) RED LHASA (K Matsunyane) and SWIFTY LINN (S Moodley) were not persevered with in the concluding stages. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and RED LHASA is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. e) REJUVENATE (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
