Stipes Report
En-route to the start PRINCESS GOLDIE (M V'Rensburg) cast the left front shoe which was replaced by the course farrier at the start. This filly was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. This led to a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MY TRUE LOVE (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ON BOARD (S Moodley) was squeezed out shortly after the start. b) SKY VELOCITY (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 350m. c) In view of the performances of SCHIPOLE (C Murray) (11.25 lengths, 6/1 in the betting), ON BOARD (S Moodley) (10.75 lengths, 14/1 in the betting), MY TRUE LOVE (A Mgudlwa) (12.15 lengths, 33/1 in the betting) and SKY VELOCITY (K Matsunyane) (11.75 lengths, 50/1 in the betting) which were not persevered with in the concluding stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer W Whitehead will be asked to report back on the condition of MY TRUE LOVE on return to stables. d) PRINCESS GOLDIE (M V'Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
