Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FUTURE KAT (*N Yuen) was reluctant to load. b) IGNITE THE FIRE (JP van der Merwe), WATERFRONT (G Behr) and QUICKSMART (S Moodley) jumped slow, losing one length. c) SEAFARER (C Little) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) IGNITE THE FIRE (JP van der Merwe) pulled hard in the early and middle stages. b) DRIVING SNOW (*G Samo-Burthia) raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. c) SEAFARER (C Little), which raced green, had difficulty securing clear running between the 350m and the 150m. d) FREQUENT TRAVELLER (C Orffer) and FUTURE KAT (*N Yuen), which raced green and was hanging in in the straight, brushed on two occasions between the 200m and the finish. e) Jockey C Bantam reported that GALACTUS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) BEWARE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Woodruff was advised.
