THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) KINDRED HEART (C Murray) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
b) MISS LIA (C Habib) was slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) En route to the start, LET'S GO LOLA reared, dislodged Jockey P Mxoli and bolted. This filly was taken in hand, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently scratched.
b) Shortly before the finish line, KINDRED HEART (C Murray) and TAKE YOUR PLACE (J Gates) were carried in by LIMERICK LACE (J R Syster), which shifted in away from the crop.
c) Jockey J R Syster reported that LIMERICK LACE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d) KOMATI RIVER (*G Samo-Burthia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
