Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILVAN MISTRESS (C Murray) and CAPE CAPRI (W Agrella) were stubborn loading. b) PARTY GIRL (K Minnie) was nervous and fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing one length. c) PHYSIOLOGUS (*J Botes) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h49) b) Permission was granted for BENEATH THE MOON (MK Katjedi) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start, with KILMONIVAIG (C Maujean) following directly behind. c) SILVAN MISTRESS (C Murray) and BENEATH THE MOON (MK Katjedi) came together and brushed on a number of occasions leaving the 350m when BENEATH THE MOON (MK Katjedi) attempted a narrow run between QUEEN OF JAZZ (C Zackey) and SILVAN MISTRESS (C Murray). Thereafter, SILVAN MISTRESS (C Murray), which shifted inwards sightly, was bumped outwards by QUEEN OF JAZZ (C Zackey), which shifted outwards continuously away from the crop from the 200m. In this incident the hindquarters of SILVAN MISTRESS (C Murray) were turned. Jockey C Zackey appeared before the Board and was advised to react timeously when his mounts shift ground in running. c) PHYSIOLOGUS took an awkward stride at the 300m and thereafter Apprentice J Botes reported that he felt something amiss with this filly. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer E Kaknis was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. e) In view of the performance of PARTY GIRL (K Minnie), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer A Mtengwana was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. f) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with QUEEN OF JAZZ. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding SILVAN MISTRESS (C Murray), Trainer AC Greeff will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding CAPE CAPRI (W Agrella), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 11/10/2025 to 17/10/2025 inclusive) CAPE CAPRI may not be presented for re-passing during this period. i) SILVAN MISTRESS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
