THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CURTISS CONDOR (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length. b) EIGER SANCTION (P Mxoli) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) EIFFEL TOWER (JR Syster) over raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter, tired in the concluding stages. b) Jockey C Zackey did not persevere with his riding of CURTISS CONDOR in the concluding stages and thereafter reported that this gelding choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) EIGER SANCTION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
