THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TRIP TO STATES (JR Syster) was stubborn loading, jumped slow, losing three lengths and thereafter, was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After being slow away, TRIP TO STATES (JR Syster) failed to muster speed and trailed the field throughout. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer CI Jonker was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. b) In view of the performance of MICHAEL FARADAY (N Klink) (Betting 18/10; Distance 5.20 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding TRIP TO STATES (JR Syster), Trainer CI Jonker will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. d) GAMER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
