THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair break. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) VAR AGLOW (D Daniels) took an awkward stride after jumping a patch at the 400m, and thereafter Jockey Daniels reported that he felt something amiss. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) QUEEN OF FIRE (M Katjedi) hung in in the concluding stages. c) JET MIRAGE (J Syster), was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Swanson advised (AH). JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) QUEEN OF FIRE raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) VAR AGLOW examined post race, nothing obvious detected. Trainer D Swanson was requested to report back on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
