THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RATTLE THE PEACE (*B Marx-Jacobson), ANGEL BOY J (S Moodley) and LIFE ON THE TIDES (M V'Rensburg) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) Approaching the 500m RATTLE THE PEACE (*B Marx-Jacobson) rolled in and brushed the inside running rail. b) MYSTIC DANCER (K Matsunyane) raced green. c) In view of the performance of ANGEL BOY J (S Moodley) (15.90 lengths, 80/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey S Veale was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E, Guideline M), in that he as the rider of BOMBARDIER BOY misused his crop by striking this gelding more than twelve times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey S Veale signed an admission of guilt and was fined R3000. e) MFETHU (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W M Masawi was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) LIFE ON THE TIDES raced fitted with a cornell collar (advised 14.10.2025). b) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson (claiming 4kgs) was the rider of RATTLE THE PEACE (advised 18.10.2025/08h09).
