THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (GF) : a) As the start was effected JET BLACKFIRE (T Godden) was brushed by AMANZIMTEXAS (M Yeni) which jumped awkwardly leaving the starting stalls. b) TASTE THE RAINBOW (S Veale) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) In view of the performance of AMANZIMTEXAS (M Yeni) (14.00 lengths, 25/1 in the betting), which tired rapidly from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) SPAARNE RIVIER (C Murray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
