Stipes Report
En route to the start SHE'S A MACHINE (M Yeni) cast the left front shoe which was replaced by the course farrier at the start. This filly was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. This caused a delay to the start of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) Approaching the 800m Apprentice*B Soodoo (ROY TAKING OFF) was severely unbalanced and almost dislodged from ROY TAKING OFF which commenced to over-race, shifted both ways on two occasions and ran onto and clipped the heels of LIGHT OF GABRIEL (C Zackey). The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine ROY TAKING OFF (*B Soodoo). b) In the concluding stages RAHHABBA (S Moodley) which hung in from the 300m and shifted in away from ONE PATH (K Matsunyane) which rolled in, clipped the heels of SHE'S A MACHINE (M Yeni) which shifted out slightly away from the crop. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine RAHHABBA (S Moodley). c) SHE'S A MACHINE (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S H Ferrie was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
