THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EISTEDDFD (C Zackey), TRES CHIC (*S Bungane) and STATE CAPITOL (*B Plaatjies) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 200m DREAM SEARCHER (C Bantam) was steadied briefly and directed outwards when unable to secure a clear run between LA LANDONNE (*N Yuen) and CATCH A PENNY (C Little), which commence to shift inwards. Thereafter, CATCH A PENNY (C Little) continued to shift inwards away from the crop and carried LA LANDONNE (*N Yuen) in until the finish. Jockey C Little appeared before the Board, was severely reprimanded and advised to take stronger measures to correct his mounts when they are shifting ground in future engagements. b) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with EISTEDDFOD in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) DREAM SEARCHER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AN Marcus was advised. (SC) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) *S Bungane rode TRES CHIC (declared 11h53 on 20251029) b) *S Bungane (TRES CHIC) weighed out at 50.7kg and only claimed 2.5kg of his 4kg claim, one of which 1kg was carded.
