Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIRINGONALLENGINES (G Wright) was stubborn loading, causing a delay. b) SOOTY (D Ashby) jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 1000m POMP IT UP (JP van der Merwe), which over raced in the early and middle stages, was steadied when close to the heels of FIRINGONALLENGINES (G Wright). b) Approaching the 400m POMP IT UP (JP van der Merwe) was directed inwards away from the heels of FIRINGONALLENGINES (G Wright), which was directed outwards upon entering the straight. This resulted in FOX ON THE RUN (R Fourie), which was racing on the inside of POMP IT UP (JP van der Merwe) having to be steadied for a number of strides and making contact with the hindquarters of POMP IT UP (JP van der Merwe), which was unbalanced as a consequence. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding FIRINGONALLENGINES (G Wright), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 30/10/2025 to 05/11/2025 inclusive) FIRINGONALLENGINES may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) FOX ON THE RUN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
