THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	FLYING ON MY MIND (*G Samo-Burthia) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow, losing two lengths.
b)	BEACH WALKER (L Nhlapo) was stubborn loading and thereafter jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
c)	LUWAK (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. 
 
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Shortly after the start, LUWAK (G Lerena) was bumped in by BEACH WALKER (L Nhlapo), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	FLYING ON MY MIND (*G Samo-Burthia) stumbled shortly after the start, thereafter, failed to muster speed and trailed the field throughout. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c)	Jockey K Matsunyane (RISSIEPIT) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.	
d)	At approximately the 200m, RED SUNRISE (C Zackey), which had come to the end of its run, was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of LUWAK (G Lerena), which shifted out away from the crop and was corrected. 		
e)	Jockey L Nhlapo reported that BEACH WALKER  took no interest in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	Jockey M K Katjedi reported that STORM BURST took no interest in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
g)	Jockey C Zackey reported that RED SUNRISE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.			
h)	LUWAK (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
