THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 200m, KUDZU (S Khumalo), which rolled in, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of READ ALL ABOUT IT (M Yeni), which shifted out marginally away from the crop. b) In view of the performance of EIGER SANCTION (M K Katjedi), (distance 12,25 lengths, betting 25/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performance of BATTLEGROUND (M van Rensburg), (distance 14,35 lengths, betting 100/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with HAWKBILL in running.
