Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ZATARA MAGIC (C Zackey) jumped awkwardly with its head up leaving the stalls. 
b)	BOURNEMOUTH (C Habib) and GLOBAL ALLY (X Ndlovu) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h13) 
b)	GLOBAL ALLY (X Ndlovu) over raced in the early and middle stages. 
c)	GOLDEN PEACE (L Mxothwa) was baulked for a clear run between the 250m and the 200m. 
d)	Jockey JP van der Merwe did not persevere with his riding of ARDABIL from the 200m and thereafter, this gelding ducked sharply outwards shortly before the finish.   In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this ARDABIL.
Stable Employee Z Xamle was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables.
e)	ZATARA MAGIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer DG Smith was advised. (LM)
