THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) :
a)	RED CARDINAL (R Venniker) over-raced in the early stages and thereafter hung in, in the concluding stages. 
b)	DIRECTOR (S Veale) which was ridden forward in the initial stages, commenced to over-race and as a result raced clear of the field. 
c)	DAY TWO (S Khumalo) raced green. 
d)	Approaching the 200m, DIAMOND MAKER (C Murray) was bumped by THAT'S ALL BROTHER (*D Pillay) which was carried out by DIRECTOR (S Veale) which had come to the end of its run, shifted out away from the crop and was then corrected. 
e)	In view of the performance of DIRECTOR (S Veale) (16.50 lengths, 33/10 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 
f)	GREEN GLOW (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting for Trainer D Kannemeyer was advised (DZ).
