THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIGHT SONG (M Yeni) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 600m, JUAN CARLOS (S Khumalo) which commenced to hang out and FIGHT SONG (M Yeni) which was switched in to continue its run, came together and brushed. b) JUAN CARLOS (S Khumalo) commenced to shorten its stride and tired badly from the 400m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) OCEAN WARRIOR (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
