Stipes Report

EN ROUTE TO THE START, COPPER EAGLE (K MATSUNYANE) PULLED ITS RIGHT FRONT SHOE, WHICH WAS ATTENDED TO BY THE COURSE FARRIER. THIS CAUSED A FURTHER DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE.

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	TIN PAN ALLEY (G Lerena), ONE EYE ON VEGAS (S Veale) and COPPER EAGLE (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	NYAKA NYAKA (R Fourie) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Shortly after the start, MIAMI MOUNTAIN (C Murray) and TRUST (S Moodley) were bumped in by TIN PAN ALLEY (G Lerena), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. As a consequence of this, MIAMI MOUNTAIN (C Murray) became momentarily unbalanced. 		
b)	At approximately the 1200m, GOLDEN WARRIOR (L Mxothwa) and SOHO HEARTTHROB (C Zackey) were carried out by TOMMY SHELBY (L Nhlapo), which commenced to over-race and was switched out to avoid running onto the heels of TIN PAN ALLEY (G Lerena). As a consequence of this, SOHO HEARTTHROB (C Zackey) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. 
c)	Jockey S Khumalo (RADIO STAR) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with this colt in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.	
d)	In view of the performance of TENJIKU (C Habib), (distance 14,75 lengths, betting 40/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	TIN PAN ALLEY (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
