THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE.

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	MO MENT (M van Rensburg) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	UNITED COUNCIL (K A Brewer) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Shortly after the start, ENFLAME (S Moodley) was squeezed out between NEBRAAS (C Zackey) and MO MENT (M van Rensburg), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
b)	At approximately the 1800m, the nose band on INFINITE WONDER (K Matsunyane) became detached. 
c)	Jockey S Moodley reported that ENFLAME took no interest and refused to gallop. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d)	In view of the performance of MO MENT (M van Rensburg), (distance 17,80 lengths, betting 7/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	DAIMYO (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
