Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HILTON HEADS (S Moodley) was restless and reared in the stalls, taken out, broke free from the Handler, was taken in hand, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded, causing a delay. b) TOUCHED BY ANGELS (R Fourie) was stubborn loading, causing a further delay. c) PROTECTOR OF PEACE (JP van der Merwe) was restless in the stalls. d) TAKETHEGREENLIGHT (C Little) and KLIPTOWN (*S Bungane) jumped sow, losing one length THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 500m PROTECTOR OF PEACE (JP van der Merwe) was brushed by FRACTAL (G Behr), which raced green and shifted in slightly. b) At the 200m BLIZZARDBOY (O Noach), which was initially held up for a number of strides leaving the 400m, had to be steadied when tightened for galloping room on the inside of KLIPTOWN (*S Bungane), which raced green and shifted in. c) At the 200m SPANISH VERSE (A Domeyer) was accidentally struck on the muzzle by the crop of Jockey M Yeni (RACHETTU). d) TAKETHEGREENLIGHT (C Little) raced green. e) In view of the performance of HILTON HEADS (S Moodley), which was examined at the start, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. f) In view of the debut performance of STOP THE PRESS (G van Niekerk), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding HILTON HEADS (S Moodley) and TOUCHED BY ANGELS (R Fourie), these colts starting stall certificates have been withdrawn and they are suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as they prove to be tractable to load on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 03/11/2025 to 09/11/2025 inclusive) HILTON HEADS and TOUCHED BY ANGELS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) TOUCHED BY ANGELS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
