THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE STARTING STALLS HAVING TO BE POSITIONED ON THE TRACK. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LAST CAR TO PASS (R A Venniker) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) This race was run in the rain. b) In consultation with the Jockeys, the going was changed from Good to Soft. c) At approximately the 1000m, Jockey G Lerena felt something amiss with PRESLEY and eased this gelding out of the race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia reported that ZANTHAR made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey M Yeni reported DECEPTION PASS took a number of awkward strides in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) DYLAN'S CHAMP (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) DYLAN'S CHAMP: Jockey C Habib weighed out at 55,4kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight as declared.
